Meet Our Doctors

Brian Polvi, D.C. – Clinic Director

Dr. Brian Polvi was attending Oregon State University as a pre-med student. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury to his lower back while playing football. With the injury came several medical doctor visits, and after several months with no improvement one of his friends gave him an idea. His friend referred him to a family member whom was a chiropractor. Dr. Polvi at the time, thought very little of chiropractic care and was hesitant to even try it. After more time and medical visits had passed, he decided to try chiropractic treatment when nothing else was helping recover from his injury. It only took a few chiropractic visits for his condition to resolve. This beneficial experience with chiropractic treatment prompted him to change his career path and he is now the wonderful doctor of chiropractic we know today.

Dr. Polvi has worked as staff chiropractor for several large multi-specialty medical centers, directing the physical therapy and exercise therapy departments while concentrating on workers compensation, sports injury, personal injury and chronic pain patients. Dr. Polvi is a pioneer in the field of soft-tissue dysfunction and the clinics utilize the breakthrough technique of Myodynamic Remodeling® that he developed. The treatment is unique to Absolute Health Center and Physiocare and is utilized when appropriate during patient care. Myodynamic Remodeling® has proven to be very effective in resolving patient’s conditions and restoring their normal function, especially patients with chronic pain conditions.

Among his many professional licenses, Dr. Polvi is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CC SP) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He is also Advance Practice Certified with the New Mexico Board of Chiropractic Examiners that allows prescriptive authority, therapeutic injections, etc. within the state of New Mexico. He is a certified Trigger Point Dry Needling practitioner and is separately a Certified Acupuncture Practitioner.

Dr. Polvi has completed the Masters Program in whiplash and brain injury traumatology emphasizing the comprehensive case management of whiplash and related disorders through the Spine Research Institute of Sam Diego. He has completed the Team Physician coursework through the American College of Sports Medicine. He previously served on the board for the Colorado Chiropractic Association and served as insurance committee chairman. He is accredited by the Colorado Division of Workers Compensation. Dr. Polvi received his Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree from the Southern California University of Health Sciences with honors.

With many years of clinical experience, Dr. Polvi brings an extensive skill set for patient care. He has served as the official chiropractor for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox baseball team, the AAA affiliate of the major league Colorado Rockies. In a cooperative effort with on-site medical doctor specialists including Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Orthopedic Surgery, Occupational Medicine, Neurology and primary care they have always strived to achieve optimal patient care. Dr. Polvi looks forward to providing his expertise in helping achieve your musculoskeletal healthcare goals!

Dr. Sean Nealon

Dr. Sean Nealon graduated from Brigham Young University - Idaho with a degree in Exercise Science in 2011. There he studied the fundamentals of cardiovascular and musculoskeletal physiology and learned how to apply them to strength and conditioning for athletes and laypeople alike. Afterward he temporarily worked as a personal trainer while making plans to earn a master’s degree. He became certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), which focuses on injury prevention and balanced training of the neuromusculoskeletal system.

It was this experience that led Sean to decide to become a chiropractor instead of pursuing a career in academia as originally planned. He graduated from Logan University in 2015. Through chiropractic he hopes to help patients achieve optimal health by focusing on the function of the musculoskeletal system. In addition to his training as a chiropractor at Logan, he has taken courses in movement assessment through the Motion Palpation Institute, neurology through the Carrick Institute, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation through Logan's post-graduate department. He hopes to continue learning more through post-grad courses to help his patients and still dreams of teaching a college class one day (on the side)
